Progress report: architects revisit a proposed bulb-out; temporary church lease signed

Library staff told the board that city council signed the lease for the Wayfarer Church temporary site and that project managers and architects are conducting infrastructure testing and drafting tenant-improvement scopes.
The Librarian said architects and traffic-safety committee members discussed a proposed bulb-out design that originally would have removed two parallel parking spaces behind the library; the committee requested revisions aimed at cutting the parking impact to one space. "They're gonna come back with a different plan and hopefully, with an eye towards not having to remove 2 parking spaces, just cutting that back to 1," the Librarian said.
Staff also reported they have walked through the temporary church site, made a checklist of tenant improvements, and that some administrative project meetings will occur in the coming days. Trustees asked for an agendized, public tour after project taping so the board and the public can visualize the temporary layout.
