The Board considered two permissive property-tax exemption applications that had been before the board in 2024. Commissioners moved to deny the prior 2024 applications for First United Lutheran Church and Region 5 in order to accept updated filings. After a second, the board approved those procedural motions on roll call and then approved the updated applications as recommended by staff.
Members discussed the organization names and paperwork (one member noted the name as "First United Evangelist Church" or similar in the packet and asked the clerk to ensure legal names were correct). The board recorded votes accepting the assessor's and clerk's recommendations and instructed staff to correct any transposition errors in the paperwork prior to final filing.
