Scott County library staff told the county board they are increasing adult programming with additional pilot funding and are expanding outreach to vulnerable residents. "We have a program called library to you, where they go out again to people that are more vulnerable that can't get into the library," a board member said, describing deliveries to senior living facilities and other locations.
Staff said MELSA pilot funding will help expand creative adult programs this fall, including wellness and intergenerational events and partnerships with parks and historical societies. The library also highlighted volunteers and teens helping deliver activities in branches to increase connections across age groups.
