Resident warns Market Street bridge work won't solve flooding north of Essex Street; detour plans discussed

"This is not going to help anybody, that's going to be, North Of Essex Street as far as flooding is concerned," Bob Davidson told the committee, saying he had attended similar meetings in prior years and that the county project will require detours and careful scheduling. Committee members and staff answered that the county is preparing to go out to bid later in the year and that project timelines will be monitored.
The administrator said she had asked the county for the PowerPoint presentation and would post it once available. Members of the public also raised concerns about notification for a recently held special meeting; the mayor encouraged residents to follow the township social‑media page and the Google Calendar for meeting notices and offered to help residents sign up for alerts.
