Real School reports attendance and graduation gains; staff highlight college credit and growth

Assistant principal Janelle Sager reported that 62% of seniors graduated with at least 12 college credits (a total of 783 college credits across the senior class), and that 84% of seniors ended the year committed to a 2‑ or 4‑year college program, apprenticeship or military service. Testing coordinator Ashley Pochask and teacher Melanie Rosales described testing outcomes and middle‑school growth strategies, including use of ALEKS topic mastery and the plan to revert to MAP assessments next year while monitoring knowledge checks.
Board members congratulated the school and asked follow‑up questions about how credits were earned (dual‑enrollment through Gateway pathways was cited as the primary source) and about next steps to lower suspension rates and chronic absenteeism.
