Durand council adopts annexation and detachment ordinances for two small parcels

On July 8 the Durand City Council approved two boundary-change ordinances after requests from Jarod Jereczek. The council adopted Annexation Ordinance 2026-01 to annex approximately 2.5 acres into the city (PID #004-00374-0001 near South St/Marilyn Ave) following a motion by Travis Hooker and second by Matt Roesler; the roll call vote was unanimous.
The council also approved Detachment Ordinance 2026-02 to detach approximately 2.3 acres (PID #216-00920-0050 near Grant St and Marilyn Ave) from the city to the Town of Durand; the motion was made by Matt Roesler, seconded by Robert Weishapple and passed by roll call. The ordinances were passed at the meeting with no public comment recorded. Both items were introduced at Jarod Jereczek’s request and council documentation should record updated parcel boundaries following the ordinances' adoption.
