As trustees, the board reviewed several drainage work orders: a reported tile blowout in D5 (Lincoln Township), two washouts in Joint Drainage District 121-54 (Norway Township), and a reported 32-inch tile blowout with active water where someone reportedly fell into the hole. Staff described the locations and urgency and trustees discussed mobilizing crews and follow-up notifications.
Trustees also reviewed a drainage invoice of $325 from Nynemaster and discussed whether removal or repair costs would be assessed to the district or to the individual landowner depending on the situation. Staff said a formal letter would be sent to the downstream landowner if an obstruction (rocks placed at an inlet) was not removed voluntarily.
In a separate drainage action, trustees voted to reschedule the public hearing for Drainage District 169 from July 20, 2026 to Aug. 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., citing timing and newspaper scheduling constraints; the motion carried.
