She also reported assessment results: "95 percent of our students meeting state proficiency in both reading and math," and said subgroup performance was "25 percentage points higher than state average with 80% proficiency."
Board members and a newer member praised teachers and volunteers for supporting students during recent events and staff absences. The superintendent said district activities — concerts, conferences, and community ceremonies — illustrate a broader focus on culture, character and high-quality work that the board's goals aim to reinforce.
