"Kindergarten currently is plus about 40 over last year," the superintendent said, adding the official pupil count will be locked on Oct. 1. He noted the YHS roof is finished and the district is awaiting the final bill from the construction manager, and that ceilings in every hallway and LED lighting upgrades have improved the building’s appearance. He also expressed sympathy for the family of Hannah Rapp, a 2018 graduate reported to have died over the weekend.
The superintendent said Skillman is involved in softball site work and exterior painting; board members asked for project-specific cost estimates to help prioritize items in the strategic plan.
