"My name is Dean Sellers. I work with Moon Lake Electric Association," Sellers said, and he offered to reach out to Deseret Generation & Transmission to inquire about feasibility of small nuclear generation tying into the regional grid. Sellers identified Yankton Johnson as Moon Lake's general manager and named David Crabtree as Deseret's general manager following a recent retirement.
Sellers also described Deseret's efforts to install selective catalytic reduction (SCR) emission controls at the regional coal‑fired plant, which he said could prolong operating life to about 2035. Council members asked follow‑up questions about coal supply, inter‑state politics and potential siting; Sellers said he would seek more detail and report back.
