Ashley, a resident of Mountain View for 30 years and a local business owner at 4320 Eaton Street, told the council the town's public works report misrepresented her company's performance and that she found the report "offensive."
"Everything on this could be no farther wrong than I've ever seen in my life," Ashley said, asking the council to clarify which information the public works officer used and to discuss the report during the upcoming staff presentation so she could respond in more detail. The chair had agreed to move the staff reports earlier in the agenda so members of the public attending for that topic could hear the discussion.
The clerk confirmed no other in‑room or online commenters were waiting. The council indicated staff would present the public works report after the executive session so the commenter could participate in the follow‑up discussion at the dais. No staff response or formal finding was made during public comment; Ashley's statements requested that staff clarify factual bases in the report and that the town correct inaccuracies if found.
