Kim Lake described the ESP (education support personnel) portion of the TA and related benefits and said the package mirrors much of last year's structure with targeted adjustments.
For ESPs Lake said the agreement provides one step and adds a new step to the salary schedule for qualifying ESPs hired by the TA's hire-date cutoff; ESPs will also be eligible for the loyalty-bonus structure. She summarized the total ESP estimated impact at about $469,000 and noted ESP benefits are heavier on nonrecurring bonuses (as presented).
On benefits, Lake said the parties had not completed health-insurance negotiations but had included a cost-sharing framework similar to last year: "50% to the board, 50% to the employee, but not to exceed... $20 a month on employee only plans." She also described new parental-leave language that provides up to five consecutive workdays of paid leave for birth or adoption with qualifiers and combined limits when both spouses are district employees.
