Kim Lake said the parties agreed to "an hour lunch for both" school-improvement and professional-learning days and to extend the school-improvement day "to match PL days" so those days will run roughly 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; staff will honor the old schedule this year to give staff time to adjust. The TA also adds language that disciplinary actions should occur in private settings rather than public hallways, and narrows non-evaluative observation use with a practical ceiling on observers to reduce disruption.
Other operational changes include a requirement that instructional personnel receive a five-day notice for assignment changes after the first 20 student attendance days, except when the district must act to meet operational needs. The TA also clarifies comp-time use: teachers may be allowed limited comp-time usage in alignment with local practices but cannot use comp time for SIP or professional-learning days; ESPs retain broader comp-time flexibility given different classifications and overtime eligibility.
