Lake said in the materials "you can see our RLE is 3.042, Capital outlay remains the same at 1.5, and discretionary operating is set by the state... for a total millage of 5.29." She underscored that RLE increases reflect property-value growth rather than district levy changes.
On a motion, the board approved the four advertisement notices staff presented (notice of proposed tax increase/TRIM ad, notice of tax for school capital outlay, budget-summary ad, and an amended capital-outlay notice to reflect a paid-off school). Lake said these ads are needed for statutory compliance and audit documentation before the final budget is adopted.
