Miss Vaughn told board members she values being a "relevant listener" who works with administration to develop solutions and then supports majority decisions once deliberation is complete. She also described the practical challenge of communicating levy needs ahead of votes, saying the district has to present information early so levy measures are not unexpected.
The panel completed its standard set of interview questions, invited the candidate to observe the next board meeting, and adjourned the special-session portion of the meeting. The board did not take a final appointment vote during the special meeting.
