Rauch said the audit started later than in prior years and required more time, which increased the cost: the original estimate was about $30,000 but the final billed amount was approximately $36,000. District staff said they have had preliminary conversations with OSPI and that initial feedback suggested no immediate repercussions, but the board asked staff to follow up and post the audit report publicly.
The board asked that the final audit report be posted on the district website so members of the public can review it; staff agreed to do so and to clarify the grant finding with OSPI.
