Selectboard approves application for up to $30,000 more for thermal energy feasibility study

Catherine and project partners told the board the state notified them that additional funding is available for the planned feasibility study of a town thermal energy network. She said the additional dollars would enable a more in-depth study without changing the study terms or the town's administrative burden.
At the request for a dollar figure, a project representative suggested seeking "up to an additional $30,000" to expand the scope; the selectboard moved to permit application for the extra funds and voted in favor. "If we could get permission to apply on the town's behalf for up to an additional $30,000 for the feasibility study, that would be great," a project speaker said.
Board members requested a specific up-to amount for the warning and confirmed that the IE would manage the application and administration if the funds are awarded. The motion passed by voice vote.
