Staff said the final draft addressed earlier comments and largely reflected previously discussed terms; staff and the engineer negotiated outstanding items and reached agreement. Council members confirmed the price remained the same as prior drafts and that payment terms were acceptable (staff noted a concession on a short payment window after negotiation). One councilmember asked that the public be given an opportunity to review contract documents, and then the council moved, seconded and voted to approve the contract.
The contract approval authorizes staff to proceed with the renovation project; staff will follow the contract terms for scheduling, payments and construction oversight.
