City Administrator Jody Sanders presented an application to rezone a roughly 2.48-acre parcel near the Highway 30 interchange from Agriculture (AG) to Light Industrial (LI). Sanders said the change was consistent with the comprehensive plan and surrounding zoning. Jack Larson, speaking for JKL LLC, told the council there was no specific use yet but the rezoning would allow consistent zoning for future opportunities.
Councilman Horner moved to approve the rezoning and to suspend rules for final reading; the council voted unanimously to adopt Ordinance 57-39 on final reading. The ordinance rezones the parcel and provides standard provisions for appeal and severability.
