The Board of Commissioners approved a contract award on July 21 to Approved Construction LLC (West Caldwell) for renovation of the public safety fire truck garage in the amount of $49,500, the lowest quote submitted and below the township bid threshold.
The Department of Parks and Public Property said the renovation aims to correct significant flooding problems caused by age and cracks in the garage floor and to protect infrastructure in the basement. "This renovation will correct some serious flooding problems that we have due to age and cracks in the cement floor," the resolution text stated. The board approved the contract by voice vote and thanked staff for moving the project forward.
Work is expected to proceed under the township’s capital maintenance procedures and will be funded from the designated account listed in the resolution.
