"$500 is the actual fee," the Chair said when staff explained Appendix D lists a $500 residential connection-with-meter fee and that the older $100 charge should be removed. The committee moved to replace paragraphs 1 and 2 of 24.2 with language that refers readers to Appendix D for the fee schedule and makes clear that all construction and tie‑in costs are at the applicant's expense. The motion carried unanimously (3 ayes).
Members also clarified technical points such as the location of meters (generally in basements) versus external reader pads and confirmed that electronic readers are part of the installed meter assembly. The committee asked the codification team to ensure Appendix D and section cross-references are consistent before final publication.
