Chair Plimel: ADRC budget rose after decade of flat funding; ARPA dollars used for shortfall

The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) in Wood County has seen recent budgetary increases after a long period with no change, Wood County Board Chair Lance Plimel told WFHR. "For the most part, until last year, had no increase in that budget over, you know, more than a decade. And then in the last 2 years, we've had about combined about a 15% increase in that budget," Plimel said, noting the ADRC provides Meals on Wheels, congregate meals and other services.
Host Melissa Kaye pointed out a specific adjustment at the end of the budget cycle: "there was $33,642 in ARPA funds that were were moved around" to cover additional ADRC expenditures. Plimel said reallocations like that are part of normal reconciliations when needs emerge within departmental totals.
