"We're working on a workforce development plan...that re skills our skilled, up skills our certified," the officer said, adding that implementing reskilling at scale requires experts and materials the county does not yet have onsite. The officer said the plan aims to increase hourly wages and household income by aligning training with emerging local trades.
Officials did not provide a timeline for program launches, specific curricula, or funding sources; they said more details will follow as staff coordinate with subject-matter experts.
