Council consents to mayoral reappointments to boards

Councilman Horner moved to consent to the mayor's reappointments of Maggie Zarate, Marty Gifford and Kimberly Brown to housing-related boards for terms ending September 2031; Councilwoman Gannon seconded and the motion carried 7–0. Horner said he had served on the board previously and called the willingness of the appointees to serve again a testament to their dedication.
The council also consented to the mayor's reappointment of Michelle Wiese to the Utility and Infrastructure Board for a term ending June 2031, again by unanimous vote. These items were handled on the consent agenda and approved without separate roll-call debate after one item (the claims item) was pulled for discussion.
