He requested that the board provide notice if the quarry applies to change its permit, including any changes that would increase blast volume. "This email requests that the planning board notify residents within the radius zone should a change in the current permitted 2 dynamite glass yielding 12,000 cubic yards per blast, total 24,000 cubic yards be considered," Lolly said.
The Chair and staff clarified that the permit allows two blasts but that the permit language on volume was not specified in the way the resident described; staff said there are no current expansion plans and indicated the quarry is in compliance with its permit. The Chair said he would reply to Lolly by email as a courtesy and copy him on any further correspondence regarding the quarry.
