Senior accountant Becky Kajek presented the village's June 2026 treasurer's report and summarized key fiscal indicators.
"In your packet was the, the June 2026 treasurer's report," the presenter said. The report showed total cash and investments at about $63,769,891 and that year‑to‑date revenues were $15,930,007.18 compared with year‑to‑date expenditures of $11,000,847.01. Staff noted property‑tax collections were tracking at about 49.8% of budget (timing of receipts) and commercial building permits were at about 98.6% of budget, indicating strong early‑year activity in that category.
On expenditures, staff said police services were elevated for the month largely because of a pension contribution of $1,249,382 and that the new Public Works building recorded $1,060,027 in spending during June. Staff cautioned they were still early in the fiscal year and would continue to monitor results.
The report was followed by routine consent and finance votes; the board approved accounts payable totaling $3,443,355.75 later in the meeting.
