Council members sworn in; two library board appointments approved

Mayor Kris Wyatt called the Bristow City Council to order May 5, 2025, and City Attorney Beth Anne Childs administered oaths of office to council members Jeryn Fletcher (Ward 1), Joseph Church (Ward 2), Heather Green (Ward 3) and Kevin Deshazo (Ward 4), as well as to Frank Groom (Ward 1) and Randy Witty (Ward 4) who are serving unexpired terms through 2027.
Council later approved two appointments to the Bristow Library Board. "We appoint Dana Parish to replace Melissa Holderby and Shayla Yoshimoto to replace Jamie Braden; both terms will expire in May 2027," Councilmember Judd Johns moved; the motion passed on a roll-call vote recorded as all present voting Aye. The meeting record shows no city attorney report or additional new business following the appointments.
The swearing-in and the library board appointments were recorded as formal motions and captured in the official minutes; the Clerk executed the meeting record at adjournment.
