Rochelle told commissioners she had included roughly $25,000 in the proposed FY27 budget for a feasibility study connected to a proposed airport urban renewal district and that the URA had discussed splitting study costs with partners. "I do have $25,000 in there and the reason I have that in there, I'm not sure if that will get in the 2020, all spent in the 2027 budget but I know that we have recently come to you with a proposal for a new district in the airport and the proposal there was that we would split the cost of the feasibility study," she said.
She added that if the study starts early — she mentioned September as possible timing — some costs might fall into the current fiscal year, producing a timing-based shift in how much is counted in FY27 versus prior-year spending. Rochelle asked commissioners for recommendations on proceeding and said unspent funds could be used for other project expenditures.
