Daughter urges naming Albion Elementary for longtime MMSD teacher Stephanie Bernard

"My late mother, Stephanie Bernard, dedicated her life to share to shaping young minds and inspiring a love of learning," Isis said, describing Bernard’s more than three decades of service in the district and her final years teaching at LVM. Isis told the board that naming the building for Bernard would continue her legacy and recognize her commitment to early literacy and students.
Chelsea Tubbs, the district’s associate superintendent of educational programming, thanked Isis for sharing her remarks and noted the testimony would be part of the official public record. Tubbs also said other registered live speakers had not joined the Zoom and that staff would follow up to provide them an opportunity to speak at a future meeting.
