District says House Bill creates flexibility to begin replacing cameras at eight schools

When asked whether specific schools such as Ranson would be included, central office said the district will purchase as many cameras as the available funds allow and will prioritize the eight that need total replacement first. "We have 8 remaining schools...we've done 8 over the last 3 years, and, we'll be able to start moving forward on the replacement of those cameras," a central-office representative said. District staff noted they would leverage technology funds and other sources to offset costs but gave no firm installation timetable at the meeting.
