The Delran Township Council on Nov. 10 introduced Ordinance 2025-21, a bond ordinance authorizing the completion of various recreational improvements and appropriating $750,000.
The ordinance text also states that the council may issue general obligation bonds or bond anticipation notes "in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed $712,500." Mrs. Apeadu moved to adopt the ordinance on first reading, seconded by Mr. Jeney; the roll call vote recorded Mr. Morrow, Mrs. Apeadu, Mr. Jeney and Mr. Lyon voting aye (Ayes:4, Nays:None).
The council scheduled no further detail in the meeting minutes about the specific projects covered by the appropriation beyond the general purpose articulated in the ordinance title ("completion of various recreational improvements"). Township officials announced an open meeting on Dec. 11 with Bowman & Company (and possibly Phoenix Financial Advisors) for residents to discuss bond ordinances and outstanding debt.
