Planning staff member Santos reported the village received one set of public comments on the 2026 comprehensive plan and said that comment pertained only to the solid-waste chapter.
"We received 1 set of public comments, and that's what you guys received yesterday, with respect to the solid waste section, which I didn't have any issues incorporating into the chapter," Santos said. He added the PNC director provided syntax feedback and that staff highlighted those changes in purple to make them easier to review.
Santos told the council the parks, recreation and trails committee had provided chapter-level feedback on goals and strategies and that the staff still awaits formal feedback from the Parks Department about which office will take primary responsibility for particular strategies. That decision, Santos said, will determine short-, mid- and long-term assignments in the plan's responsibility matrix.
