Salem Lakes part of three-municipality road consortium awarded ~$435,000 per year for five years

Trustee Polley told the board that an innovation grant through the state was awarded to a consortium of three municipalities — the Village of Salem Lakes, Walworth and Paddock Lake — for road work.
Polley said the award is "$435,000 per year over 5 years, approximately $2,200,000 to use in our combined, road consortium through those 3 municipalities," and thanked staff and those who worked on the application. She also provided a brief update on Highway W construction, noting the southerly portion is 2–3 weeks behind schedule due to utility conflicts and that county staff are evaluating mitigation for Kenosha County Fair traffic.
The EDC is launching a SWOT analysis and upcoming workshops to set priorities for economic development work in the village.
