State Fair representatives thank Lebanon, preview Aug. 13–22 schedule

"Our dates are August 13 through the 22nd," the fair representative said, noting about 3,388 volunteers and roughly 15,260 exhibitors last year. The speaker described the fair as the state’s “largest outdoor classroom for agriculture,” said the Hale Moss Building will host forestry exhibits, and listed two sponsor-supported concerts.
The presentation highlighted recent capital investments—about $14 million to date—and noted improvements such as Wi‑Fi enabled by a CCF grant that will be ready for the fair. The representative thanked the city for assisting with Peyton Road widening and for sponsoring a single-night fireworks display during the event.
Council members responded with routine thanks and appreciation for the fair's volunteer base and economic contribution. No formal action or funding request was made during the presentation.
