City staff said the parks and recreation master plan is scheduled to be presented to the parks advisory committee in June, after which it will follow the city’s standard approval process and be brought to the planning director and ultimately the city council for review and action.
"They will be coming to our parks advisory committee meeting in June," the clerk said. "...We'll present to the parks committee, and then eventually, it has to go through that approval process, which then talks to you guys on the city council." The clerk and staff urged commissioners to review the master plan materials and noted that public outreach and committee feedback will inform the final recommendations.
Next steps include the June presentation to the parks advisory committee, follow-up revisions based on committee comment, and subsequent routing to the planning director and council when the staff and advisory committee recommend adoption.
