Commission continues Green Bay redevelopment case to Aug. 12 for further study of alley, parking and lighting

Following extensive testimony from neighbors and supporters, the Land Use Commission agreed to continue the application for the planned development at 2722 Green Bay Road to its next regularly scheduled meeting on August 12.
Commissioners acknowledged multiple written continuance requests from nearby residents and asked the applicant to prepare additional materials on alley geometry, alternative on‑site queuing/parking configurations and light‑mitigation measures for translucent façade panels. Commissioner Berlin moved to continue case numbers 26PLNDDash0039 and 26PLNDDash0040 to August 12; the motion passed 7–0. Chair Puktel said staff will track outstanding continuance requests and that the record will remain open for those who have been granted continuances.
The continuance preserves the applicant’s ability to present refined plans and for staff and the commission to evaluate proposed conditions before the commission makes a formal recommendation to city council on the text amendment and special‑use requests.
