Summary
Staff presented a printed report of detached garages (roughly 600 cards) and the board agreed to split the review across members and bring findings to the next meeting to reconcile apparent valuation differences.

During the July 21 meeting staff reported a printed packet of detached-garage records and recommended the board review the cards in smaller groups. "I went through every one of them. They looked fine," a staff member said, adding that a couple of cards needed minor fixes and that the total list includes about 600 detached garages.
Members agreed the topic requires detailed review before further discussion at an open meeting. One member suggested dividing the pile among board members to compare how the same GFL or garage codes appear across different property cards. "If we want to know, we deserve it," a member said in urging a methodical review.
The board set as a next step that members individually take portions of the stack and that staff re-convene with results at the next regular meeting; this work is intended to help identify coding inconsistencies and ensure uniform valuation practices.
