Echo superintendent reports rising waitlists; preschool enrollment set for April 8

“Preschool enrollment opens April 8 at 8AM,” the superintendent said, noting the district hosts nine slots reserved for the preschool-promise program and that Echo residents receive first priority for those slots. The superintendent said the district plans to hold initial registration numbers low (about 18–22) for the first weeks of school to avoid overcrowding and will confirm final placements after the school year starts if more demand appears. Kindergarten roundup is scheduled for April 24 and the district expects a large kindergarten class.
