A council member asked, "Is there a match 20% for those?" and staff confirmed the local match is roughly 20 percent and that the invoices currently coming in represent early planning and initial payments.
Councilors discussed coordination with ALDOT and sequencing: several members said road work should be completed before extensive median plantings to avoid redoing landscaping if state-owned road work requires later changes. Staff said the project is in the planning phase with no firm start date and that landscaping plans will be developed in consultation with the contractor and property limits.
