Board appoints TASB delegate, names Simmons alternate

The College Station ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a motion to appoint McAdams as the district’s TASB delegate and Simmons as the alternate during its July meeting. Chair (speaker 1) called for nominations and a motion recommending McAdams as delegate and Simmons as alternate passed “7 to 0.”
Trustees discussed the value of continuity and the timing of this year’s legislative session. One trustee who offered to serve said the Legislative Advisory Council and recent grassroots and Austin meetings make the delegate role especially important this year; another trustee said making the alternate an active participant would ease future transitions. The board took formal action on the motion (motion approved 7–0).
