Board welcomes five new certified staff for 2026–27 school year

The board introduced and welcomed five new certified staff members who will join Mahomet-Seymour CUSD 3 for the 2026–27 school year.
"We have 5 new staff members joining us this evening that we're excited to introduce to you," Doctor Bagby said, and the board applauded as each new hire was briefly described by building and qualifications: a new music teacher joining Middletown Prairie from Mississippi; a speech-language pathologist, Caitlin Wright; junior-high teacher Jaden Newton; a sixth-grade history/science teacher Rebecca; and Jasmine joining the high school. Administrators thanked the hires and wished them well for the upcoming year.
Board members noted appreciation for staff efforts over the summer as buildings prepare for classes; no action was required other than welcoming remarks.
