County finance staff presented semiannual treasury reports showing a decline in general-fund balances compared with the prior year. Staff said the county had "about $480,000 less in the general funds" when comparing last year to this year across selected periods and later clarified a specific line showed a decline of approximately $288,000.
Commissioners asked for a more detailed breakdown of tax and revenue collections. Staff committed to emailing a tax-collection breakdown to the commissioners for review. After discussing the reports, the board moved to approve a resolution naming the county's deposit banks (community banks, State Bank, All Trust) and approved the resolution by voice vote (resolution 01-26-02).
Next steps: finance staff will email detailed tax-collection numbers and gather signatures for the bank-resolution paperwork.
