Riverdale City Council on July 21 unanimously approved Resolution 2026‑26 to renew the city's contract with Robinson Waste Services for garbage and recycling collection for a two‑year term.
Mister Douglas presented the item, saying the contract is “pretty much the same as we had” though Robinson Waste has changed ownership to Republic. He told the council the agreement keeps curbside spring and fall cleanups and Christmas tree pickup, services residents have found valuable. The council confirmed the initial term will be two years as shown in the contract before moving and seconding the motion. Mayor Gowney called the vote and the measure passed unanimously.
