She said daily responsibilities include supporting 16–64 students across multiple periods and relieving 6–10 teachers from disruptions, and emphasized that reductions would harm both instruction and supervision. The committee heard the testimony and moved into the staff budget presentation that followed; members asked staff to rework the reduction list and return with alternatives at the next meeting.
