City staff says 2026 road program on track as crews finish milling and pave multiple streets

Public works staff told the City of Muskego Public Works and Safety Committee on July 21 that the 2026 road program is moving forward and crews are shifting from milling into paving and restoration work.
"Scenic has been completed even with the restoration. North Shore has been milled off and new pavement has been put down," a city staff member reported, adding that crews began milling Catherine, Lynn, Roger, Dorothy and Velva and will work from the cul-de-sacs outward. Staff said they expect milling to finish within a day and pavement restoration to follow later this week or early next week, weather permitting.
The presenter said the Gulfview phase of the program will follow those streets on the schedule and described homeowner outreach: inspectors knock on doors, staff send advance notices and will work with residents to accommodate access during construction. Committee members asked about driveway access and traffic control; staff said they will grade shoulders and perform restoration, and reiterated they notify homeowners in advance.
The committee did not take additional formal action during the update; staff will return with construction progress reports as needed.
