"There was some pretty good data that showed there was positive impact," the commissioner said, citing Buffalo and other cities as examples.
Commissioners asked staff and volunteers to prepare valuation examples and methods for an in-lieu fee and to return with a short list of calculation options. One volunteer (speaker 8) offered to circulate several calculation approaches within a week and said they could provide worked examples for council and staff to consider. The commission agreed to postpone detailed policy decisions until staff provides a table tying district uses to parking requirements.
