Dreyer said a labor-shed study for Boone County is nearly complete, with a public rollout scheduled for Aug. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; attendance is free but registration is requested.
Dreyer highlighted recent local business investment and workforce developments, including Egg Certain’s expansion and the upcoming Page Flats opening (28 new market-rate rental units). "Boone for the next two years is going to be designated a thriving community," she said, adding the designation may provide bonus points on some funding applications and "real attention cast" on Boone’s projects. Dreyer also noted expanded retraining opportunities and partnerships intended to sustain low unemployment and supply workers for local industry.
