The Boone City Council approved resolutions and permits needed to operate this year’s Pufferability Days festival, including right-of-way authority for event organizers, a parade permit and a street-closure application.
City staff presented a map and logistical packet for the festival and confirmed coordination with police and other public-safety resources. The council passed resolution 3562 authorizing the event committee to manage certain rights-of-way "for the purpose of safety and organization of the Pufferability Days events," and approved associated permits by roll-call votes.
Councilors emphasized coordination with public safety and volunteer staffing; staff said the police and public-works teams had reviewed street-closure plans and that volunteers would staff intersections to allow vehicle crossings during the event. The city will publish final maps and guidance in event materials once logistics are finalized.
