Organizers and council praise Neon Days, Foodie Friday and park upgrades

Council member Alvaro listed event highlights and thanked American Legion Post 104 for fireworks and volunteers: "A big special thanks to the guys at the American Legion... for that firework show," he said. He named local bands and sponsors, noted vendor participation and said the town had games and prizes for children.
Alvaro also described vendor fees and space limits for Neon Days: one day with power $90; one day without power $65; two days with power $135; two days without power $90. He said political candidates may set up for a higher fee and encouraged local businesses and individuals to participate. Alvaro urged residents to check the walking track and new benches and picnic tables installed near the park.
Council and staff encouraged continued support for Foodie Friday and local vendors, noting the event schedule is booked through Sept. 11 and that organizers welcome additional vendors as space allows.
