Lonsdale student leaders collect more than 2,400 items in district food drive

District officials said the program supports leadership development, service learning and community outreach, and that over the past two years Lonsdale students helped collect and donate more than 5,494 total food items. Teachers and student leaders were thanked by name during the meeting.
